The first helicopter prototype is designed and produced – it is the beginning of Aerlualdi Company

Lima L59 helicopter obtains certification to fly



1968: THE ARRIVAL AT THE COMPANY

Gabriele Lualdi becomes Chief Executive Officer of Lima



1969: TITANIUM

Lima SpA is born: titanium processing begins



1978: THE KNEE AND THE ORTHOPAEDIC PATENTS

Cooperation with an important Orthopaedic Surgery Institute in Udine (Italy) begins



1984: A STRENGTH AND A GREAT SYNERGY

Lima means Technique and Science in a team spirit: a group composed of ten companies focused on research, engineering, manufacture and commercialization of products for the aerospace, automotive and mechanic industries. We are living this moment with the same spirit as ever and with a brand new graphic symbol. Our four strategic business fields:



1993-1994: THE REORGANIZATION

In this period Lima enters the orthopaedic market with the brand Lima-Lto, as the result of a wide reorganization of the corporate group. The Vitruvian Man becomes Lima's symbol for its art and science in the orthopaedic sector.  



1995: THE EVOLUTION. Lima Group

Lima keeps on developing its four strategic business fields: mechanics, medical, aeronautics and automotive



2000: THE NEW MILLENNIUM

The medical sector: Gabriele Lualdi decides to focus on the medical field and stop financing the other companies of the group.



2004: SUBSIDIARIES

The choice of establishing completely owned Subsidiaries, aimed at managing sales and providing direct assistance on the markets worldwide: Lima brand starts gaining strength at a global level.



2008: MANAGERIAL STRUCTURE

It is the beginning of a relevant managerial structure in a company which is already globalized. About 500 employees. In this period, Lima starts acquiring companies or structures to accelerate the ongoing internationalization process: 2008: Hit Medica spa (Italy and San Marino)
2009: Biosuma srl
2009: Orthotech (Australia and New Zealand)
2010: Dima (Italy)  



2010: GOING GLOBAL

2011: THE FUTURE: Lima Corporate

  A new company name is adopted: Limacorporate spa, replacing Lima-Lto.
Motion like movement, Emotion like feeling. Together, in a positive synergy, Emotion: the emotion of movement, the emotion of being able to move like before. Thanks to orthopaedic products that are not only the cutting edge of technique, but that also have a soul. Because the products themselves make it possible to rediscover the pleasure of movement.

The central focus is no longer on the excellence of the product, but the excellence of the service. In the same way, the central  focus on the man is highlighted in all its expressions. The central focus is on the planner man, whose creative thought and craftsman-like attention to the details allow him to work in keeping up with technology. To give life to a perfect product. The central focus is on the salesman, who knows perfectly the features of the product and can train the surgeon man on the product at best. The central focus is on the surgeon man, who lets the patient man enjoy the quality of the product and recover a higher functionality. This is at the heart of our service. Lima today

Lima Corporate is the Italian multinational in orthopaedics and traumatology.

For over 60 years Lima has been present in the medical field with implantable prostheses for knee, hip, shoulder and small joints arthroplasty.

Lima Corporate’s main objective is to produce a complete system of interchangeable modules to better adapt the implant to each patient’s needs, thus reducing surgery time and improving functional rehabilitation.

Code of Ethics

On July 30, 2008 Limacorporate spa Board of Directors approved its Code of Ethics.

The company's formal adoption of a Code of Ethics ratifies the principles of "corporate deontology" which Lima Corporate wholeheartedly accepts and whose observance it demands of all company employees, and of whoever works with or on behalf of the Lima.

The Code of Ethics is to promote or deter certain behaviours and represents the very essence of Lima Coporate's policies on procedure and conduct.

LIMA USA INC. IS OFFICIALLY ON!

Indianapolis, IN, November 28, 2011 - Following the path of internationalization Lima Corporate has eventually found its way to make its “American Dream” real.
The organization has been defined basing Lima USA Inc. on a few solid pillars: the main logistic structure will be based in Dallas, TX and will care about receiving the products from Italy and sending them over the different US States where and when they will be needed.
The sale strategy will be supported by a net of agents spread upon the different territories who will foster Lima branding and awareness, covering from the beginning some determined areas, like for instance the South-East, the North-East, Texas, California and Nevada. They will not be left on their own, since they will be able to count on the backup from the main Headquarters in Italy, in terms of products information, updates and impulses to keep the momentum.
In order to boost the penetration in the States, Lima will push its most innovative and renowned products: the SMR Shoulder System and the DiPHOS H plate.
Lima Corporate, in order to support the US strategy, has developed a rich Professional Education program dedicated to American Surgeons and Sales Representatives. During 2012 there will take place different activities, like for instance Cadaver Labs and specific SMR Trainings.
Lima will also organize the so called “Visitation Centers”, a way of introducing the American Surgeons to Lima’s most influential Key Opinion Leaders, including Live Surgeries and a factory tour. This instrument is very valuable in order to transmit Lima’s true spirit and share the commitment to the product development.
Lima Corporate has taken on this new stars and stripes challenge, a new demanding market where sales will be pursued by American sales agents, while production and design will remain “made in Italy”.
The official event that has launched Lima in USA has been the AAOS, 2012 in San Francisco, collecting a fair amount of interest among surgeons and distributors.
The pride, the high expectations and the awareness of its means will drive Lima to export once again its vision, becoming the best choice for the patient and the surgeon, and with ambition and broad minded view Lima may also dare to moon the giants.
